BieneCableTester01
- is a high performance, low cost, portable PC
based Cable Tester for diagnostic wide
range of products, including cables, wiring harnesses,
distribution panels, wiring looms and switch assemblies.
Maximum numbers of connectors pin - 104. Cable Tester
display visually pinpoints problems when wiring
errors are detected, and offers one-second pass/fail
functional testing for cable production environments.
Test type: static, continuous static, dynamic (model
BieneCableTester01D).
An on-line base holds an unlimited number of User
cables. Choose from a wide variety of plug-in adapter
to mate with most standard cables. The system can
automatically learn a cable from a known good sample.
Tests PC cables, CISCO cables, Centronics and RS-232
cables, cables with connectors type DB Sub 9, 15,
25, 50, High-Density D-Submini 15, 26, 44, 62, Centronics
36, 50, SCSI cables - Centronics and miniCentronics
50 (SCSI-I), Ultra SCSI cables (MC68,80,100), miniD
50 (SCSI-II), miniD 68 (SCSI-III), V35, Telco cables
(Centronics 50), IDC and High-Density IDC Flat cables,
Router and Network Cables, Smart Serial Connectors
Cables. Tests cables for opens, short, pin-to-pin
configurations and misswired connections.

Static test: this applies a voltage
to each pin in turn and checks the response of
all other pins (on the left and right connectors
of cables). Test runs one cycle for all pins.
This is checked against the required response.
This test will detect missing connections (Opens),
Extra Connections (Shorts) and misswired
connections (wrong pins"). The test
voltage is usually 3.3 Volts D.C.
Continuous static test: this
applies a voltage to each pin in turn and checks
the response of all other pins (on the left and
right connectors of cables). Test runs N cycles.
This is checked against the required response.
This test will detect missing connections (Opens),
Extra Connections (Shorts) and misswired
connections (wrong pins"). The test
voltage is usually 3.3 Volts D.C.
Dynamic test (model BieneCableTester01D):
this applies a 4 impuls to each pin in turn and
checks the response of all other pins (on the
left and right connectors of cables). This is
checked against the required response. This test
will detect dynamic error.
